Is it me or is he getting cuter?

Well, Will is on the go these days. He is burning holes in the carpet as he crawls around the living room and kitchen. Of course crawling is too easy for him now and he is wanting to accomplish the next skill. He actually prefers to be standing. It's amazing how well he can pull himself up and walk around holding onto things. We had to lower his crib all the way down because now when he wakes up he stands in the corner and hollers for us. We got him a new car seat over the weekend. He was getting to big for the baby seat. (hold on while I wipe my eyes). He still only has his two bottom teeth. He actually uses them now since he's started eating puffs and crackers.

He's Crawling!

Last Tuesday, we challenged him to go a little further than 3 knees. So we put a pencil and a plastic bag out in front of him and away he went. He just need the right motivation. He loves any object that he is not suppose to play with. It worked. He scooted right across the floor over to it. Don't worry, we didn't let him play with either one. Now we can't slow him down. It's so cute. He is getting to be such a big boy.

Update on Will

I'm sorry that I have not updated you on Will in awhile. I really have no excuses. There won't be any pictures with this update either. He is sitting here in the office with me and with the way he is acting it seems like I only have a minute or two to do this. So.... he is 6 months old now ( and 2 weeks). On Jan 5 his first tooth came in. And the second one followed 6 days later. So he has 2 cute, sharp, little teeth on the bottom. I don't see any others in the near future. I think he handled these first two pretty well. I could tell they were coming though but it only lasted a couple of days. He is on the verge of crawling. Technically he knows how to and has but it's only one knee and then a belly flop. Plus he's pretty good at going sideways. We just have to figure out the forward direction. He had his 6 month checkup on the 15th. He weighed 18lbs (52%). He was 27 1/2 inches long (79%- we know who he got this from) and his sweet little head measured 17 (23%- and we know who he got this from). He is eating 3 jars of food a day and loves most everything I feed him. The one exception- green beans. But his all time favorite is still his milk. Well, since he's about to choke himself with a pair of goggles that he found??? that's all for now. I promise to upload pictures shortly.

Will's First Christmas

This is my first roadtrip. We're going to NC for Christmas!!! I hope Santa can find me.

First we stopped to see "Uncle" Ricky.
Then we went to see Great Grandmom Harper. She hasn't seen me since I was born.
I got to meet Great Uncle Jim for the first time.
And then we went to Mammaw's. We had a lots of fun at the Christmas Eve Celebration.
We got to open presents.

I don't need your help mom. I can do it by myself.It's Christmas morning and Dad won't let me get up to see if Santa came.

All of this present unwrapping is wearing me out.
Ok, I've had some breakfast, a nap, and now I'm ready for more presents. Off to Grams and Gramps.

Will's first Christmas was so much fun. He was spoiled, as I expected, getting a lot of really cute clothes and toys. He was so cute to watch. He loved eating the wrapping paper and tissue paper and banging on the boxes. He was able to meet members of the family for the first time. I think he liked all of the attention. We really appreciate all of the wonderful gifts and we hope all of you had a Merry Christmas.
